I meticulously kept the sticky-surface clean (keeping the original plastic film on whenever I wasn't using the iPhone's GPS app). After several uses, with slight loss of tackiness (presumably due to small amount of oil/dirt left on the TPU case?), I decided to clean the green sticky surface with tap-water and let it dry, as directed. Unfortunately, after that, the suface has never been even close to as sticky as before. Thereafter, my iPhone slowly slid off in seconds(despite putting alot of pressure). I wrote to Allsop, to see if there's any way to "refresh" the sticky surface. I really wanted this to work. Maybe too good to be true for long-term. (Don't expect the stickiness to last more than a few weeks). Again, I presumed the initial slight loss of stickiness was due to small amount of dirt-build-up. However, I wonder if the problem (for this and other Clingo products) may be related to the sticky-surface properties not lasting as long in hotter-temperature climates (such as mine). Although I haven't seen any manufacturer warnings concerning an optimal temperature-range, I suspect this product will not perform robustly after a few weeks in a car exposed to summer-heat.
